French Essence
These images are from a trip to Haute-Alpes, France in the Summer of 2007. I stayed in Crots and visited several villages in the mountains. The solid stone structures of the architecture and their lines captivated my attention. Hence emphasized in the monotone or black and white photography. These structures with their solid foundations reflect a rich history of stone architecture to withstand early invasions. (see Provence and Beyond)
